About the Role
As a Nursing Support professional in our Pediatric ICU, you play a vital role in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for our youngest patients. This position is designed to complement the Registered Nurse team by handling essential patient care activities, ensuring families receive compassionate, family-centered support, and facilitating the smooth operation of the unit.
You will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, adhering strictly to hospital policies and procedures. Your day involves a blend of direct patient interaction and logistical support, from assisting with daily living activities like bathing and feeding to monitoring vital signs and maintaining room readiness. You serve as a key point of contact for patients and families, offering encouragement and comfort while ensuring the nursing station and patient rooms remain pristine.
Hiring Process
Candidates must hold an active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or EMT/Paramedic licensure in the State of Florida, along with an active American Heart Association BLS certification. We look for individuals with strong problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a collaborative spirit. Experience in a healthcare environment and CPI (Crisis Intervention Training) certification are preferred.
