The Cardiac Stepdown Nurse Manager leads a 37-bed unit, providing 24/7 accountability for 60 FTEs. This role is pivotal in delivering individualized, goal-directed cardiac nursing care within a Magnet-designated or Pathways environment. Reporting to the Director of PCU, the Nurse Manager ensures patient safety, drives quality outcomes, and fosters staff development using the Synergy Model and evidence-based practices.
The position serves as the operational anchor for the unit, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize cardiac stepdown operations. The ideal candidate will champion a culture of continuous performance improvement, balancing cost control with uncompromised patient safety and service delivery. This role is designed for accomplished leaders ready to manage a high-acuity unit in a Level I Trauma Center while driving the organization toward Magnet or Pathways excellence standards.
