The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care grounded in the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This role encompasses the standards of practice, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, care coordination, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation. Additionally, it adheres to standards of professional performance such as ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.
The RN must possess the clinical knowledge and skills required to meet the standards of specific clinical areas. This position operates on the Third (Nights) shift.
Our hospital is located just 15 minutes from VA Beach Town Center and a few minutes from the Oceanfront in Virginia Beach, VA.
