A great Cafe Manager loves to communicate with staff and customers, genuinely making people's day with heartfelt hospitality. This role requires positive leadership, team building, and the execution of coffee offerings to ensure a vibrant café environment.
You will partner with Marketing and the Retail Operations Manager to support brand exposure and sales-driving strategies. Your day involves recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and managing staff to meet or exceed expectations. You will work a minimum number of weekly bar shifts, ensuring you stay connected to the craft.
Beyond the floor, you will achieve sales goals while controlling costs to meet established budgets. Maintaining a clean café, executing preventive maintenance schedules, and keeping merchandise shelves fully stocked and faced are essential daily tasks. You will ensure high customer satisfaction with every interaction, follow established protocols for submitting orders, and maintain full compliance with accounting, financial reporting, and cash deposit procedures.
You will also track and report payroll, review and respond to emails daily, and provide staff with ongoing opportunities to learn about Caffe Vita products, services, and culture. Serving as a role model for maintaining a calm environment during high-stress or high-volume periods is key, as is communicating clear performance objectives and providing feedback to your team.
