About the Role
On Grid Infrastructure Services is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Designer to support critical engineering and operations projects within the refining, petrochemical, and terminal operations sectors. This part-time, contract role is designed for a professional who thrives in dynamic industrial environments and possesses specific expertise in crude distillation units (CDUs) and associated process systems.
In this position, you will serve as a vital link between engineering concepts and physical facility realities. Your work will focus on drafting, design updates, and creating accurate as-built documentation for brownfield facility modifications and operational improvement projects. You will be responsible for translating field redlines into precise technical drawings, ensuring that P&IDs, plot plans, equipment layouts, and piping isometrics reflect the current state of the facility. This role requires a high degree of independence and the ability to coordinate seamlessly with engineers, operations personnel, and maintenance teams to support Management of Change (MOC) documentation and small capital projects.
Hiring Process & Application
Candidates must be local to the Galveston/Houston Gulf Coast region, as onsite work is required. The ideal candidate will have a TWIC card or the ability to obtain one to access operating industrial facilities for occasional field walk-downs.

Requirements
