Performance Contracting is seeking a motivated Business Development Specialist to join our PCI Chicago 573 operation in Chicago, IL. This is an execution-focused role designed to drive organization, visibility, and consistency across customer engagement, opportunity tracking, joint venture pursuits, and proposal support.
The primary customer for this position is internal. Success is measured by how well you support the business development, estimating, operations, and finance teams with accurate data, reliable coordination, and professional presentation. This role blends event coordination, proposal development, and brand awareness with practical business development support, making a marketing background a strong asset.
You will serve as the operational backbone for our growth initiatives. Your day involves coordinating customer-facing events—from networking lunches to multi-day golf outings—managing all logistics, reservations, and communications to ensure seamless execution. You will partner closely with the estimating team to maintain the Opportunities module, ensuring leadership has actionable data for decision-making.
A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to crafting high-quality materials, including writing, editing, and formatting proposals, as well as developing professional slide decks for scope reviews and customer interviews. You will also track joint venture activities and manpower forecasting tools, ensuring data integrity across all systems while building effective relationships with leadership, operations teams, and industry partners.

Marketing background. At least 2 years of experience and/or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. Previous experience in marketing, business development, event coordination, communications, or a related discipline.
