This position serves as a strategic growth engine for FM's St. Louis Operations, based out of either the Minneapolis or St. Louis offices. You will be responsible for soliciting and producing new clients while maintaining a healthy pipeline of business opportunities through effective prospect outreach and funnel management. The role requires developing strong relationships with prospects, brokers, consultants, and insurance professionals throughout the industry and local marketplace.
In this client-centric role, you will collaborate with and lead internal client service teams to deliver proposals that clearly articulate the value of doing business with FM. You will act as a subject matter expert in the commercial property insurance industry, building FM's brand through active participation in meetings, conferences, and industry-related functions. Success in this role involves balancing direct delivery channels with opportunities through brokered partners, ensuring a high hit ratio on new business by understanding the specific business needs of prospective clients.
This position can be based out of either Minneapolis or St. Louis. The role requires travel throughout the St. Louis Operations territory, estimated at 40% or more annually.

Advanced degree in business, marketing, or engineering. Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. Associateship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII). 3+ years as an Account Manager or similar client-facing role. Underwriting knowledge. Prior sales experience. Excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledge of property insurance policy forms. Presentation and negotiation skills. Loss Prevention Engineering concepts. Knowledge of competitors and brokers.
