The Business Controls Lead serves as a pivotal operational risk partner within the organization. This role exists to identify, assess, monitor, and report on all key risks, ensuring that business operations align with the Risk Appetite Framework and organizational objectives. You will act as a subject matter expert, working closely with Operations Managers to design, document, and implement appropriate controls.
In this position, you will coordinate Risk Registers to support Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and lead monthly risk working groups to highlight thematic trends, audit updates, and program maturity. Your work involves collaborating with various risk units—including Operational and Enterprise Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, Business Continuity, IT Risk, and Third Party Risk—to prepare for testing, audits, and other risk activities. A key part of your mission is promoting risk awareness within your Business Unit and providing strategic advice on regulatory interactions.
