About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Bridge Engineer to join our Transportation & Structures team. This role is designed to support the planning, analysis, design, and inspection of bridge and other transportation structures for a diverse range of public and private sector clients, including state DOTs, counties, and municipalities. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in structural engineering, a familiarity with infrastructure delivery, and a collaborative mindset to contribute to complex, multidisciplinary projects that improve communities.
Work Environment
This position is available for in-office or hybrid work. While fully remote options are possible for the right candidate, we prefer individuals residing in AZ, UT, NV, CO, WY, ID, or MT.

- check_circlePerform structural analysis and design of bridge systems and transportation structures
- check_circlePrepare construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates for bridge projects
- check_circleConduct bridge inspections, load ratings, and condition assessments
- check_circleSupport rehabilitation and replacement projects for existing infrastructure
- check_circleCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams including roadway and geotechnical professionals
- check_circleInterface with clients such as state DOTs and local agencies to support project delivery
- check_circleReview shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction phase services
- check_circleMentor junior staff and contribute to technical development within the team
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering
- verifiedProfessional Engineer (PE) license
- verified5+ years of experience in bridge or structural engineering
- verifiedWorking knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications
- verifiedExperience with structural analysis/design software (e.g., LEAP, LARSA, SAP2000, CSiBridge)
Nice to Have
Structural Engineer (SE) license. Experience with bridge inspections, NBIS certification, or load rating analysis. Familiarity with Ardurra-type project delivery models, including public infrastructure, water, and transportation programs. Knowledge of construction support and field services. Experience working on multi-state or DOT-funded projects. Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related discipline.
