About the Role
This position serves as a critical operational leader within the brewhouse, responsible for executing all facets of wort production and managing special projects aimed at process improvement. The role is designed to bridge the gap between hands-on brewing execution and team leadership, ensuring high-quality output while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
You will actively lead teams of Brewer Operators and Technicians, supporting the Brewer Manager and Operations Manager in driving departmental initiatives. Success in this role requires a deep mastery of all brewhouse tasks, from raw material auditing to the precise execution of brewsheets and brand specifications. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, capable of making responsible decisions under pressure and facilitating clear communication across departments.
Working Environment
This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position within a craft brewery setting. The role demands physical endurance and mental resilience to operate effectively in sometimes extreme environments. You will be expected to stand, walk, climb, and lift heavy materials (10-75 pounds) while operating various brewery equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts. The schedule may include weekend and overnight shifts to meet production needs.
