The Breast Ultrasound Sonographer & Training Specialist serves a unique dual purpose within our team: acting as both a highly skilled diagnostic technologist and the primary educator for our mammography staff. In this capacity, you will perform complex diagnostic breast ultrasound examinations, including guided biopsies, aspirations, abscess drainage, and needle localizations, while ensuring the highest quality imaging and patient safety.
Beyond clinical duties, you will design, implement, and oversee a structured training program. Your mission is to expand the scope of practice for mammography technologists, guiding them through the safe and accurate performance of breast ultrasound procedures. As a subject matter expert, you will support staff development, optimize equipment usage, and maintain rigorous quality control standards to support ACR accreditation efforts.
