About the Team
SSM Health SLUCare Physician Group and Saint Louis University are seeking a breast imaging radiologist to join an experienced team of four breast radiologists within a department of 40 attending radiologists. Recognized for a focus on lifelong learning and friendly collaboration, the division is an ACR Designated Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center. The team is dedicated to fostering independence in participants through hands-on learning with 36 radiology residents.
SLUCare Physician Group has partnered with SSM Health for decades to provide exceptional medical services at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital, and Saint Louis University Hospital. As a dedicated academic physician division within SSM Health – St. Louis, SLUCare's more than 600 faculty and staff collaborate with SSM Health Medical Group's 600+ community-based providers to deliver care across 50+ physician office locations and through comprehensive virtual services.
About the Role
You will join a state-of-the-art breast imaging division equipped with tomosynthesis/3D mammography, upright 3D biopsy units, dedicated breast ultrasound units, and a 3T Magnet for breast MRI. The role involves interpreting digital mammography, tomosynthesis, breast and axillary ultrasounds, and breast MRIs, as well as performing image-guided breast and axillary procedures and localizations.
In this position, you will participate in biweekly breast tumor boards and the Breast Imaging Fellowship Consortium with weekly virtual lectures. You will also engage in educating breast imaging fellows, radiology residents, and medical students. The role offers opportunities for research and is supported by a robust infrastructure including nurse navigators, biopsy nurses, high-risk nurses, experienced genetic counselors, and an experienced breast surgeon located directly adjacent to the imaging office.
