As a vital part of the Visitor Services team, the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is dedicated to curating a visitor's experience through exceptional service. This team serves as the Museum's leading representative, demonstrating a united enthusiasm for the Museum experience and ensuring every guest receives the highest level of customer service set forth by museum practices.
The Part Time/Seasonal Visitor Services Ambassador at the Box Office provides the first impression and the last interaction for visiting guests. This position plays a vital role in ensuring each visitor receives a wonderful experience by attentively listening, expertly guiding, and accurately communicating requested information. The Ambassador will serve as the Museum's face, displaying a confident work ethic and engaging demeanor to exceed visitor expectations.
In this role, you will actively seek out and engage guests in conversation, using strategies such as inquiry, personalizing experiences, and appropriate humor. You will clearly communicate the mission and message of the Intrepid Museum, offering facts and historical information about the museum, ships, equipment, and artifacts. Your professional and courteous actions will assist the Museum in creating a smooth, swift flow of traffic while ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests.
