This is a full-time, career Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) position designed for individuals who love protecting their community and are looking for a change of scenery. Whether you gained your experience as part of a military police unit or within a state or local law enforcement organization, you will have the chance to make a significant impact. The role involves detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws, preventing and apprehending smugglers, and interpreting physical evidence of illegal entry.
Day-to-day operations are diverse and dynamic, ranging from covert surveillance and night operations using infrared scopes to patrolling international boundaries and coastal waterways. Agents utilize a variety of government assets, including vehicles, horses, vessels, ATVs, and snowmobiles, to accomplish the mission. The position is a career ladder role with progression from GL-9 to GS-11 and beyond, offering job stability and the chance to work in mission-critical locations across the Southwest Border and other strategic areas.

Note that duty assignments are determined at the time of offer based on operational needs and may include prioritized locations; relocation may be required.
