The Tribal Accountant serves as a vital financial steward under the supervision of the Tribal Administrator, overseeing all financial processes and data for the Tribe. This role is designed to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Tribe's financial records while maintaining strict adherence to established policies, regulatory requirements, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
In this position, you will manage the complete lifecycle of financial transactions, from verifying and entering detailed data such as cash journals and invoices to generating comprehensive monthly financial statements for multiple funds, grants, and account groups. You will play a key role in the Tribe's financial health by assisting with budget preparation, audit readiness, and the presentation of financial reports directly to the Tribal Council.

Associate's degree or completion of an accounting certification. Governmental and Fund Accounting experience. Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in accounting.
