The District is soliciting applications for part-time, hourly adjunct instructors to provide instruction in a full range of Biological Science courses. This role is designed to support the Science department's mission through dynamic teaching and curriculum development.
In this position, you will engage with students possessing a wide range of skills, motivations, and academic goals. The role offers the flexibility to teach at various campus sites, including day, evening, and weekend classes, as well as large lecture formats and distance learning environments. You will be expected to utilize multiple teaching methodologies and integrate computer and multimedia technology to enhance the learning experience.
Beyond the classroom, you will participate in student recruitment efforts and the articulation of transfer programs. A key component of this role is maintaining subject matter currency and actively contributing to departmental, college, and discipline-specific professional activities.
Applications are accepted on a continuous basis for the part-time faculty pool. This allows the division to contact qualified applicants immediately when a need arises. Applications submitted will remain active for up to two years.
