About the Role
The BICSI Certified Level II Installer plays a vital role in building and maintaining the backbone of mission-critical infrastructure. Based in Ashburn, VA, this position ensures the deployment of high-quality, compliant, and reliable telecommunications systems within active data center environments. You will be responsible for the end-to-end installation, termination, testing, and documentation of structured cabling systems, adhering strictly to BICSI standards, TIA/EIA guidelines, and specific project requirements.
In this role, you will work closely with Level I Installers, Lead Installers, and other trades to support the team's goals. A key part of your day involves mentoring junior installers, coordinating with site supervision to maintain schedules, and ensuring that every cable tray, conduit, and termination point meets rigorous safety and quality standards. Your work directly supports the reliability of the data center's connectivity, requiring a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety in dynamic construction environments.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleTerminate CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, and fiber optic cables using single-mode and multi-mode standards
- check_circleTroubleshoot and resolve connectivity and performance issues in structured cabling
- check_circleAccurately label cables, racks, panels, and termination points for organized documentation
- check_circleComplete test results, as-built drawings, and installation documentation
- check_circleAssist with training and mentoring junior installers on site
- check_circleInstall pathways such as cable trays, conduits, J-hooks, ladder racks, and raceways
- check_circleInstall copper and fiber optic cabling systems including backbone and horizontal runs

Requirements
