About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Benefits Coordinator to join our team in either Ontario or Stockton, California. This role is the backbone of our employee benefits ecosystem, ensuring the day-to-day administration of programs runs smoothly and accurately.

In this position, you will serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefit plans, eligibility, and claims. Your day will involve managing the full lifecycle of benefit enrollments, from new hires to qualifying life events, while maintaining precise records across our HRIS platforms. You will play a key role in employee education, conducting orientations and facilitating open enrollment meetings to ensure our team understands their coverage options. Additionally, you will handle critical financial tasks, such as reconciling benefit invoices and analyzing data to track participation and costs.

The ideal candidate is a customer-service driven professional with strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred, allowing you to effectively communicate with and support our diverse workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleProcess employee benefit enrollments, changes, terminations, and qualifying life event updates
  • check_circleMaintain benefit records and ensure data accuracy across HRIS and benefits administration platforms
  • check_circleServe as a point of contact for employees regarding benefit plans, eligibility, and claims issues
  • check_circleReconcile weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly benefit invoices to ensure billing accuracy
  • check_circlePrepare reports, summaries, and spreadsheets related to benefit participation, costs, and trends
  • check_circleConduct benefit orientations for new hires and explain available benefit options
  • check_circleCoordinate and conduct annual Open Enrollment meetings and communications
  • check_circleOrganize and facilitate 401(k) education meetings with plan providers and employees
  • check_circleSupport COBRA, FMLA, leave of absence, and other benefit-related processes

Requirements

  • verifiedAssociates or Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred
  • verifiedTwo plus years of benefits administration, HR, payroll, or related experience preferred
  • verifiedKnowledge of federal and state requirements regarding COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, CFRA
