About the Role

As a Benefits Administrator, you will be the vital link between our employees and their comprehensive benefit programs. This role exists to ensure our benefits experience remains clear, compliant, and employee-friendly, particularly during critical periods like Open Enrollment.

In this position, you will serve as the primary point of contact for benefit questions, resolving issues with empathy and discretion. Your day-to-day involves partnering closely with vendors, payroll, and accounting to manage accurate deductions, billing, and plan contributions. You will coordinate the administration of retirement plans, HSAs, FSAs, and COBRA, while ensuring timely communications and compliance with complex regulations. This is a role for a detail-oriented professional who thrives on keeping complex systems running smoothly and supporting our people.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleUpload weekly HSA and FSA contributions and troubleshoot discrepancies
  • check_circleMonitor vendor error files and coordinate necessary corrections and follow-through
  • check_circleTrack new-hire enrollments and partner with payroll on deduction adjustments
  • check_circleSupport Open Enrollment planning, execution, and post-enrollment follow-up
  • check_circleCreate benefits communications and employee materials to support required filings
  • check_circleMaintain and update benefits content on the HR intranet
  • check_circleAssist with ACA tracking and reporting requirements
  • check_circleProcess state child support withholding requests and related documentation
  • check_circleAdminister retirement plan activity by processing 401(k) deferrals and loan changes
  • check_circleServe as the primary point of contact for employee and consultant benefits questions
  • check_circleDistribute required plan documents at enrollment and annually ensuring compliance
  • check_circleProcess and monitor weekly COBRA changes and terminations

Requirements

  • verifiedHigh school diploma (or equivalent)
  • verified3-4 years of benefits administration experience
  • verifiedWorking knowledge of benefits regulations (ACA, ERISA, IRS, DOL, COBRA, HIPAA)
  • verifiedExperience using an HRIS
  • verifiedProficiency with Microsoft Office

Experience with ADP Workforce Now. Experience supporting a multi-location organization and/or multiple employee benefit classes.
