This position serves as a vital support to the nursing team, providing patients with education and support regarding their treatment issues. You will assist in therapeutic interventions and monitor the unit milieu to ensure a safe environment. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will deliver direct patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies. Your day-to-day involves gathering data for admission assessments, assisting with basic activities of daily living, and holding didactic sessions under guidance. You will also play a key role in maintaining a therapeutic environment by monitoring patient activities and behaviors, intervening when necessary using Crisis Prevention techniques to ensure unit safety.
