About the Role
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will implement the plan of care provided by the physical therapist, treating patients of all ages. You will serve as a role model in the delivery of professional services and act as a clinical resource for staff and students. Your work involves utilizing functional activities that consider the emotional and functional needs of the patient and family, adapting your approach in response to patient behavior and performance.
You will collaborate closely with patients, families, and significant others throughout the rehabilitation process, providing necessary education and family training. This role requires clear communication with the medical team regarding patient performance, status changes, activity recommendations, and discharge dispositions. You will also communicate with the supervising Occupational Therapist regarding any changes in patient status or treatment plans.

Requirements
- verifiedAssociate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant
- verifiedLicensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- verifiedBasic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
- verifiedSuccessfully complete board exam on the next available exam date
