About the Role
As a Behavioral Health Associate, you will provide care, support, and a safe living environment for individuals residing within our 24-hour inpatient and residential facilities. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team delivering individualized, trauma-informed treatment in collaboration with clients' natural support systems to ensure a smooth transition to community outpatient care.
In this role, you will facilitate supportive counseling and skills development through individual or group sessions, helping clients stabilize symptoms and learn illness management skills. Your day-to-day involves developing social and leisure activities, coaching clients in practical living skills like nutrition and budgeting, and accompanying clients to appointments and community events. You will also monitor symptoms and medication responses while maintaining a safe, clean environment.
This position is best suited for someone who communicates effectively, remaining supportive and empathetic during challenging situations, and who values teamwork in working toward the goal of improving the lives of the individuals we serve. A general understanding of behavioral health issues is helpful.
About the Detox & Crisis Triage Center
This specific role supports the Detox & Crisis Triage Center, a sixteen-bed facility serving adults experiencing substance use or mental health crises who need a safe environment to stabilize. Clients receive individual and group services, symptom monitoring, service coordination, case management, and referrals to longer-term treatment services when appropriate.
