As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) or Behavior Technician, you will help people feel safe by building healthy relationships and modeling appropriate behavior. Your role is to ensure individuals are engaged at all times, empowering them to live as independently as possible and reach their full potential.
In this position, you will partner with the team to implement individual support plans and behavior support strategies consistently across all environments. You will engage individuals in preferred in-home activities and assist them in planning and participating in community activities. This role requires being attentive to both the individuals and the environment, providing positive reinforcement for socially appropriate behaviors, and participating in incident debriefings to foster growth and understanding.
