The BDC Associate will be a key member of the accounting, finance, and reporting team for Blackstone Credit's Business Development Company (BDC) investment advisory business. In this role, you will support the management of BXSL (a publicly traded BDC) and BCRED (a continuously offered non-traded BDC). You will serve as a bridge between internal operations, third-party administrators, and external stakeholders, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all financial reporting and regulatory filings.
Your day-to-day will involve coordinating workflows with third-party administrators, maintaining shadow books, and reconciling investment and P&L data between internal systems and administrator reports. You will play a critical role in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables, SEC filings (10-Q and 10-K), and materials for the BDC Board of Directors. Additionally, you will monitor compliance with SEC and IRS regulatory tests, oversee the valuation process of the investment portfolio, and collaborate with Investor Relations to prepare quarterly earnings releases and investor decks.
