About the Role
Il Fornaio Cucina Italiana is seeking a knowledgeable, experienced, and service-oriented Bartender to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our hospitality, wowing guests with outstanding service and a gracious demeanor. You will be responsible for assuming responsibility for the quality of every guest's experience, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they arrive.
As a successful bartender, you will thrive in a high-volume environment, multitasking with ease while maintaining a sharp focus on exceeding guest expectations. Your day will involve preparing and serving a full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including wine, beer, specialty cocktails, and espresso drinks, all consistent with Il Fornaio's standard recipes. You will also provide knowledgeable recommendations on spirits, cocktails, and food pairings, serving the full menu and bar with efficiency.
Beyond drink preparation, you will manage the operational flow of the bar, including closing out checks and reconciling cash in a timely fashion. Adhering to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines is paramount, as is maintaining a positive teamwork attitude. You will communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues alike, constantly monitoring guest satisfaction to ensure a seamless dining experience.
