About the Role
The Barback serves as a vital support pillar for the bartending team, ensuring the bar area operates with efficiency and professionalism. While the primary focus is on supporting the bartenders' direct customer service, the role involves interacting with guests in a courteous manner and serving beverages as directed. The position is essential for maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment that facilitates smooth drink preparation and enhances the overall guest experience.
Working Environment
This role thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy atmosphere. Barbacks must be prepared to work in a loud, crowded environment with constantly elevated temperatures. The position requires the ability to move quickly and safely within tight spaces without disrupting colleagues, as well as the physical capacity to lift at least 50 lbs. Success in this role depends on maintaining a positive, well-balanced energy level throughout the entire shift and handling stressful situations with professionalism.
Qualifications & Culture
Candidates should possess a minimum of two years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant or bar setting. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English effectively. Applicants with additional language skills are encouraged to apply.

Compensation
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $10.00 plus tips.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleSupport bartenders by serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests
- check_circleMaintain clean and organized bar areas by washing glassware and taking out trash
- check_circleGreet guests and address concerns in a warm and professional manner
- check_circleEnsure all drink and operating supplies are replenished frequently
- check_circleSet up and break down bar stations before and after operating hours
- check_circleStock bar supplies including ice, mixers, liquor, and beer as directed
- check_circlePrepare fruit ingredients by peeling, slicing, and pitting for drink service
- check_circleComply with ABC laws regarding alcohol service and prohibition of over-service
Requirements
