About the Role
We are dedicated to creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. As a Grocery Clerk in our Bakery or Deli department, you will play a vital role in establishing and maintaining a safe, clean environment that encourages customers to return. You will assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals while upholding all quality assurance standards.
Your day will involve preparing items per customer requests using proper equipment, offering product samples to help customers discover new favorites, and informing them about daily specials. You will ensure customers receive fresh products in the correct portion sizes to minimize waste, while recommending items to ensure they get exactly what they need. From measuring and mixing ingredients according to recipes to maintaining strict food safety regulations and temperature logs, your attention to detail keeps our department running smoothly.
Beyond the counter, you will foster a culture of trust and respect among associates. You will create a welcoming atmosphere where customers feel important and appreciated, answering questions about products throughout the store. You will also practice preventive maintenance on equipment and collaborate effectively in a high-paced environment, acting with honesty and integrity in all interactions.
