About the Role
As a Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli), you will be instrumental in creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. You will help establish and maintain a safe, clean environment that encourages customers to return, while assisting the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals.
In this role, you will embrace the "Customer 1st" strategy, ensuring that every interaction reflects our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. You will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment, offer product samples, and inform customers about specials. Your day will involve measuring and mixing ingredients according to recipes, maintaining product quality and freshness, and ensuring proper temperatures in cases and coolers. You will also foster a welcoming atmosphere where customers feel important and appreciated, while working cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
