About the Role
OpenKyber is seeking a Java Backend Developer to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA. In this contract role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java-based backend services and microservices for enterprise-scale applications. You will architect and implement RESTful APIs consumed by web, mobile, and internal service clients, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization across distributed systems.
This position offers the opportunity to lead system design discussions, translating complex business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions. You will work within an Agile environment, collaborating closely with frontend teams, data engineers, DevOps, and product managers. Your day-to-day will involve conducting thorough code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to CI/CD pipeline improvements and automated testing strategies.
