The future of aerospace and defense starts here. Ursa Major was founded to revolutionize how America and its allies access and apply high-performance propulsion, ranging from hypersonics to solid rocket motors, satellite maneuvering, and launch systems. We design and deliver propulsion and defense solutions that address the most urgent and critical national security demands.
Our products require an extraordinary team dedicated to molding tomorrow's technologies while deploying today's best. We are an intrinsically motivated group with a passion for solving complex problems and empowering one another to develop our skills daily, knowing there is always room for growth.
Our propulsion systems rely on tightly integrated avionics—including sensors, actuators, controllers, and instrumentation—to ensure precise operation and mission success. As an Avionics Technician, you will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to build, assemble, and test avionics hardware for flight and test applications. Your work will directly support the reliability, safety, and readiness of engine electrical systems that are critical to defense and aerospace missions.
This position is designed for a detail-oriented professional committed to quality and adherence to rigorous standards. You will be the hands-on expert ensuring that high-tolerance electro-mechanical components and sub-systems are assembled with precision. Your day-to-day involves interpreting engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics to execute test procedures and maintain detailed build records.
Beyond assembly, you will engage in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis on electrical and electronic systems, recommending and implementing corrective actions. You will also collaborate with design engineers to provide feedback on manufacturability and design validation. Maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant work environment following ESD, FOD, and cleanroom protocols is a core part of your contribution to our mission.
Interested candidates are encouraged to apply by filling out the application below and clicking "Submit Application." This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days and will remain open until filled or adjusted based on the volume of applicants.
