About the Role
AccuFleet is seeking a hands-on Operations Assistant Manager to drive the success of our Newark Airfield service operation. This role is critical for ensuring the efficient, profitable, and safe delivery of a wide range of airline field services. While the majority of field services occur during evenings and overnight shifts, this is a true 24/7 position. The Assistant Manager is expected to be fully present whenever needed to guarantee seamless operations and high-quality service delivery to our customers.
In this capacity, you will manage all aspects of field operations, directing ramp activities and overseeing the functional operations of the station. You will serve as a key leader, coordinating worker activities, training new employees, and enforcing strict safety protocols. The role requires a proactive self-starter who can manage work schedules, monitor performance, and maintain inventory and equipment. You will directly report to the Station Manager and act as the primary point of contact for resolving recurring problems and identifying root causes.
Work Environment
This position operates in a hybrid environment, balancing a professional office setting with an outdoor operations floor. You will utilize standard office equipment while frequently navigating the dynamic conditions of the airfield, which may include exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud, and the role requires physical adaptability, including the ability to lift and move equipment ranging from 25 to 75 pounds.

Requirements
