Join CarMax as an Automotive Technician and help deliver a straightforward, honest car experience. In this full-time role, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of used vehicles, ensuring safety, reliability, and quality. You'll use modern diagnostic tools, follow OEM and CarMax procedures, and document all work clearly.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues on used vehicles
- check_circlePerform inspections, preventive maintenance, and safety checks to CarMax standards
- check_circleComplete high-quality repairs efficiently while meeting production and quality goals
- check_circleUse scan tools, service information, and TSBs to troubleshoot complex concerns
- check_circleDocument findings, repairs, and parts used clearly on repair orders
- check_circleCommunicate effectively with service advisors and teammates regarding work status
- check_circleFollow all safety, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance procedures in the shop
Requirements
- verifiedASE Automotive Technician Certification (A1–A9) preferred
- verifiedState vehicle inspection and/or emissions license (where applicable)
- verifiedValid driver's license with clean driving record
- verifiedOEM or dealership training a plus
- verifiedHVAC/AC recovery certification (EPA 609) a plus
