The Automation Account Representative serves as the primary face of SMC for assigned accounts, driving business activities that blend relationship management with aggressive growth strategies. This role exists to not only maintain existing client partnerships but to actively cultivate new business and relationships that expand our market share and secure annual growth targets.
In this position, you will act as a strategic partner to your clients, promoting and selling SMC's core and newly released automation solutions. Your day-to-day involves penetrating assigned accounts by identifying opportunities to sell additional products to current buyers, finding new decision-makers within existing organizations, or expanding into new customer locations. You will be expected to build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, earning the respect of the customer's top management team while simultaneously developing detailed action plans and forecasts to align with regional and global data requirements.
Beyond sales execution, you will serve as a mentor to Sales Trainees and Associates when appropriate, sharing your expertise to help the broader team succeed. Success in this role requires a proactive approach to outbound reach, daily prospecting, and the disciplined documentation of all benchmarks and opportunities within our CRM system.
