About the Role
The Assistant Store Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. Working under the direction of the Store Manager, you will assist in supervising store employees, managing merchandise presentation, handling paperwork, and preparing deposits. This role is dynamic, requiring you to perform stocking and cashiering functions while maximizing profitability and customer satisfaction. You will be a key partner in protecting company assets and reducing losses, ensuring the store runs smoothly even in the Store Manager's absence.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleOpen and close the store a minimum of two days per week
- check_circleManage merchandise by receiving, stocking, and rotating items on shelves
- check_circleMaintain accurate inventory levels by controlling damages and markdowns
- check_circleImplement and maintain planograms to ensure proper merchandise presentation
- check_circleEnsure financial integrity through cashier accountability and cash control procedures
- check_circleManage store operations in the Store Manager's absence
- check_circleOperate cash registers and scanners to process customer purchases
- check_circleProvide superior customer service by greeting and assisting customers
- check_circleAssist with employee scheduling, training, and safety meetings
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- verifiedOne year of experience in a retail environment preferred
- verifiedSix months supervisory experience preferred
- verifiedAbility to drive own vehicle
Nice to Have
High school diploma or equivalent. One year of experience in a retail environment. Six months of supervisory experience.
