We are hiring at the Associate / Associate Principal level in our LA and Orange locations.

About the Role

This role blends technical depth with project leadership, guiding teams and making key decisions to deliver high-quality, resilient solutions. You will lead the design and delivery of structural systems for new and existing buildings, from concept through construction. The position requires a collaborative leader and thoughtful mentor who builds client trust and contributes to both project success and team growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circlePlan, coordinate, and schedule detailed phases of structural engineering projects including seismic evaluations
  • check_circlePerform and review complex structural calculations and analysis for new building design
  • check_circleManage multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects with minimal supervision
  • check_circleOversee work of junior engineers and drafters in production of structural construction documents

Requirements

  • verifiedMaster's Degree in Structural Engineering
  • verified10-15+ years relevant experience
  • verifiedCalifornia Professional Civil or Structural Engineering license
  • verifiedExperience in seismic design, evaluation, and retrofit
  • verifiedAbility to perform complex structural calculations
  • verifiedDesign skills with steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures
  • verifiedKnowledge of modeling applications: ETABS, RISA, RAM, Revit, MathCAD, SAP2000, AutoCAD, Tekla

Nice to Have

California Structural Engineer License. Active participation in professional activities related to structural or earthquake engineering. Proficiency with one or more of the following software programs: Python, Rhino, or Grasshopper. Participation in project teams for delivering complex HCAI projects. Experience in supervision, coordinating, or mentoring junior staff.
