The Associate Principal serves as a key partner to the Campus Principal, working closely to direct and supervise a successful teaching-learning program at Permian High School. This exempt position is integral to the school's daily operations, ensuring an efficient and orderly environment for students and staff.
In this role, you will assume leadership in assigned student activities and act as a liaison for community information matters. The position requires a balance of administrative oversight and active participation in school life, including attending functions as directed by the principal.
Your day involves managing critical operational areas, including the supervision of school transportation, the student insurance program, data processing services, student identification cards, and the free and reduced lunch program. You will also serve as the campus textbook custodian and be responsible for the maintenance and use of building facilities.
A significant portion of your time is dedicated to administrative efficiency, such as preparing and distributing a general weekly bulletin. The role demands maintaining emotional control under stress and adapting to occasional prolonged or irregular hours to meet the dynamic needs of the campus.
Candidates selected for this position will be evaluated in accordance with the Board's Policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel. The selection process involves reviewing qualifications, including a Master's degree and relevant certifications such as Mid-management, ILD, AEL, and T-Tess.
