The Admission Counselor is a key member of the admissions team dedicated to recruiting, selecting, and yielding the undergraduate classes in support of the university's mission and enrollment goals. This role is vital for building positive educational partnerships with high school counselors, athletic department coaches, and staff at local community colleges.
In this position, you will serve as a primary liaison between prospective students and the university, guiding them through the admissions and enrollment processes to ensure they meet critical deadlines. You will counsel prospective students and their families about admissions criteria and other factors in the educational decision process. The role requires managing a defined geographic territory, traveling approximately 13 weeks during Fall and Spring semesters to conduct recruitment events, and staying informed about campus events and programs to effectively support the Hornet Hub function.
