Reporting to the Senior Director of Social Media, the Associate Director, Social Media leads the development and distribution of content that translates complex academic scholarship into high-impact digital storytelling. This role is central to promoting Wharton's faculty thought leadership and knowledge dissemination, primarily managing social media channels for Knowledge at Wharton, the School's online business journal. With an audience of nearly 300,000 followers, the position serves as a key partner to faculty and cross-functional Marketing & Communications staff, both within the central office and research initiatives.
The Associate Director proactively identifies opportunities to elevate research and shape integrated distribution plans for key target audiences, including industry professionals, prospective students, and alumni. The role works to advance the Dean's Office priorities regarding faculty research, influencing how Wharton makes its intellectual capital accessible globally. By leveraging analytics, social listening, and industry trends, the Associate Director ensures continuous improvement in outcomes and strategy.
