The Associate Director of Fund Compliance is a pivotal member of the Donor Relations team within University Advancement. This position serves as the lead for philanthropic fund operational execution and monitoring, ensuring the effective stewardship of more than 2,000 donor-established funds. These resources drive the University's mission across education, research, healthcare, and community service.
In this capacity, you will ensure donor intent is honored and institutional accountability is upheld. The role involves rigorous fund auditing and reporting aligned with institutional policy, GAAP, IRS regulations, UPMIFA, and national standards for philanthropic fund management. You will work closely with the Gift Agreement & Compliance Officer and the Senior Director of Stewardship to identify and appropriately escalate compliance matters, acting as a key resource for resolving interpretation questions and tracking issue resolution.
As a core function of the Donor Relations team, this role bridges the gap between donor expectations and institutional policy. You will champion best practices to promote consistency and reduce institutional risk while continuously improving fund-management policies. The position requires strategic collaboration to provide input on documentation, reporting, and process improvements, ensuring the University maintains its reputation for the highest standards of philanthropic stewardship.
