Staples is focused on our customer and our community. As a Loss Prevention Associate for Staples, you will implement and support Loss Prevention Programs within our Retail Distribution Center. In this position, you will manage employee and visitor foot traffic, monitor parking lots for suspicious activity, and conduct daily checks of CCTV, burglar, and access control systems. You will perform interior and exterior perimeter checks, oversee safety programs, and handle reporting-related mitigation functions within the warehouse environment.
Work Schedule
This role operates on a rotating shift schedule:
- Monday – Wednesday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Thursday: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Schedule is subject to change as needed.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleMonitor entrance and lobby to ensure all visitors are authorized, logged in, and escorted
- check_circlePerform daily safety walks around the interior and exterior warehouse perimeter including multi-level areas
- check_circleMonitor parking lot areas and report unauthorized visitors, vehicles, or unlawful activity to leadership
- check_circleAssist leadership with safety, emergency crisis, and evacuation drills and real events
- check_circleCommunicate potential workplace security issues to DC Ops and Loss Prevention Managers
- check_circleOversee associate safety programs and provide administrative support for Worker's Compensation claims
- check_circleAssist with department audits, inspections, and incident investigations as directed
- check_circleMitigate internal theft by screening associates and visitors with metal detectors and checking personal items
Requirements
