About the School

The School of Accounting at the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business is seeking to fill two tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Accounting. We welcome candidates from all areas of research specialization who demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in accounting research and teaching. Rank-appropriate academic service is expected, and we especially value individuals who will contribute positively to the School's climate.

These positions offer an opportunity to join a dynamic academic community with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026. The role involves advancing the School's mission through high-impact research, dedicated teaching, and meaningful service to the university and broader academic community.

Location and Community

The University of Utah is located in Salt Lake City, a metropolitan area of about 1.3 million residents at the base of the Wasatch Mountains. This setting offers outstanding access to outdoor recreation, from the Rocky Mountains to the red rock country of the Colorado Plateau, as well as numerous nearby national forests, national parks, and world-class ski resorts. Salt Lake City also features a vibrant arts and cultural scene, along with an international airport.
