About the Computer Information Systems (CIS) Department

The CIS Department prepares students to become IT leaders through cutting-edge, career-focused programs. The department maintains a strong "learn-by-doing" philosophy with a competitive, up-to-date curriculum. It is an inclusive group of 13 tenured and tenure-track faculty serving approximately 940 undergraduate majors, alongside three graduate programs in Information Security, Business Analytics, and the MBA.

The department is nationally recognized for its depth of undergraduate curriculum and the innovative problem-solving abilities of its graduates. Faculty share a strong commitment to collegiality, collaboration, dedicated teaching, and active participation in shared governance. About the Role

We are seeking a candidate for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin in the Fall Semester of 2027. The ideal candidate will have teaching, research, or industry experience in Artificial Intelligence applications for business. This role involves teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses, developing AI-related curricula, conducting research leading to peer-reviewed publications, and contributing to the service of the department, college, and university.

The position is particularly open to candidates who demonstrate a commitment to inclusive excellence and diversity in higher education.
