The Department of Periodontics at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time or part-time faculty position. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced Periodontist to join our team in advancing predoctoral and postdoctoral education. As a faculty member, you will serve as a vital link between clinical practice and academic instruction. Your day will involve supervising and instructing dental students and residents in periodontal diagnosis, treatment planning, and both non-surgical and surgical periodontal therapies. You will also provide specialized instruction in areas such as dental implantology, laser dentistry, and dental sedation.
Beyond the clinic and lecture hall, you will contribute to the strategic growth of our programs by participating in curriculum development, course management, and scholarly activities aligned with the college's mission. You will mentor students and residents not only in clinical skills but also in their professional development and scholarly pursuits. This role requires a strong commitment to working effectively with diverse students, faculty, and patient populations, ensuring that our educational environment reflects the values of inclusivity and health equity.

Board Certification or Board Eligibility by the American Board of Periodontology. Minimum of 3 years of teaching and/or clinical experience. Current sedation certification and laser certification.
