This position delivers therapeutic physical therapy intervention under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist, adhering to a written plan of care to meet established patient goals. The role is centered on providing compassionate treatment that facilitates health and healing while maintaining a caring relationship with patients.
In this capacity, you will participate in discharge planning, which includes educating patients and families, arranging follow-up care, and referring individuals to community resources. You will also contribute to activities designed to improve overall healthcare delivery. Depending on the needs of the department, you may supervise clinical students and support staff, including certified/licensed assistants, technicians, and volunteers.
Candidates must possess a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license. Basic computer literacy and fundamental skills are required. Additionally, successful candidates must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 14 days of hire.
