This position serves as a vital component of our radiology department, performing imaging procedures and treatments in strict adherence to established radiology practice standards. The primary objective is to support the accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of disease through high-quality imaging services.
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will apply a thorough understanding of radiologic principles and theory to select the most appropriate techniques and positioning for every procedure. Your day involves developing tailored treatment plans and implementing them using established hospital protocols to ensure optimal results.
Patient safety and care are central to your responsibilities. You will maintain equipment, procedure rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition at all times. Additionally, you will actively participate in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care consistently meets established standards. Accurate documentation will be completed as required to comply with all hospital policies and procedures.
Candidates must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with a current Registry in Radiography (ARRT(R)). New graduates who are waiting to take the registry exam are welcome to apply, provided they can supply proof of ARRT registration from a primary source within 60 calendar days of graduation. A state license is required if mandated by the state of employment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory and must be obtained within 14 days of the hire date. Basic computer literacy skills are also required to effectively manage documentation and departmental systems.
