About the Role

Based at Homewood Suites Manchester, the Assistant General Manager plays a pivotal role in driving hotel profitability and operational excellence. This position is designed for a forward-thinking leader who will focus on revenue generation, cost control, and guest satisfaction while fostering a culture of continuous employee development.

In this role, you will partner with department heads to tour operating areas daily, making strategic adjustments to ensure alignment with Highgate Hotel standards. You will lead weekly staff meetings and training sessions, utilizing our proven steps to effective training to elevate service delivery. A key part of your day involves maintaining the integrity of the hotel's financial health through monthly reviews, budget forecasting, and ensuring compliance with corporate accounting procedures.

Beyond operations, you will be instrumental in building the next generation of leaders. You will oversee the development of management trainees, conduct interviews for vacant management positions, and coach management personnel to ensure they meet performance expectations. You will also serve as a visible leader on the property, greeting guests during peak times, meeting with potential clients, and ensuring a warm, service-oriented environment for all.

The position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing nametags, and the ability to work flexible hours as needed by the hotel's schedule.
