About the Role
As the Assistant General Counsel, Litigation, you will serve as a strategic legal partner and trusted advisor within our corporate legal team. This role is pivotal for a fast-paced, growth-oriented real estate services organization, leading the management of litigation and pre-litigation matters across the United States.
The ideal candidate combines strong litigation expertise with exceptional judgment and an enterprise mindset. You will provide proactive, solutions-focused counsel to mitigate risk, advance business objectives, and support the company's commitment to operational excellence, compliance, and responsible corporate governance. Your work will involve influencing and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring seamless communication between outside counsel and internal business leaders.

- check_circleSelect, oversee, and direct outside counsel to ensure efficient representation
- check_circleServe as the primary liaison between outside counsel and internal business leaders
- check_circleManage pre-litigation matters including investigative assessments and early dispute resolution
- check_circleDrive internal fact-gathering efforts including document collection and witness interviews
- check_circleMaintain and optimize matter management and e-billing systems for accurate tracking
- check_circlePrepare executive-level litigation reports, KPIs, trend analyses, and risk assessments
- check_circleDeliver clear legal guidance on complex matters while balancing risk and business objectives
- check_circlePartner cross-functionally with Legal, HR, Risk, Compliance, and Operations on strategy
Requirements
- verifiedJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- verifiedActive membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
- verified8+ years of relevant litigation experience
- verifiedAbility to travel up to approximately 10%
