The Assistant Director serves as a vital link between the university's financial aid systems and the students they serve. This role is designed to maintain a comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and institutional regulations while providing high-quality counseling to prospective and current students. You will partner closely with the Director, SFS staff, and various campus departments—including Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate and Adult Education, and Residence Life—to ensure accurate guidance on eligibility, verification, and financing options.
In this position, you will act as a positive ambassador for the university, representing the organization at recruitment events and community outreach programs. The role requires a holistic approach to counseling, supporting traditional, graduate, and adult learners with a focus on financial wellness and literacy. You will also serve as the institutional VA Certifying Official, managing specialized processes for veteran and military-connected students, and ensuring compliance with complex Title IV and state grant regulations.
