The Assistant Director of Rehabilitation Services plays a pivotal leadership role within our post-acute care facility, supporting the Director of Rehabilitation Services (DOR) in overseeing the physical, occupational, and speech therapy departments. This position is dedicated to ensuring the delivery of the highest quality rehabilitation services while maintaining strict adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
In this capacity, you will serve as a vital liaison between patients, families, and support departments to effectively plan for patient needs. The role requires a unique blend of clinical expertise and administrative leadership, where you will not only supervise staff but also function as a therapist to manage caseloads as needed. You will be responsible for recruiting, training, and evaluating rehab staff, as well as directing the growth and development of rehabilitation programs. As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, you will exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude, ensuring that patient rights, safety, and sanitation are prioritized at all times.
Candidates selected for this position will be required to obtain CPR certification during orientation if not already current. The role involves assuming the duties of the DOR in their absence, requiring a high level of independence and sound judgment. Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate dependable, regular attendance and the ability to perform essential physical functions, including sitting, standing, bending, and lifting, as required by the clinical environment.
