About the Role
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) serves as a vital partner to the Director of Nursing (DON) in the management and delivery of nursing services. This is a working manager position that requires time on the floor with both residents and staff, ensuring a hands-on approach to care.
In this role, you will assist in the planning, organization, direction, supervision, and evaluation of all nursing services provided in the center. You will help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, manage the nursing department within budget in the absence of the DON, and oversee the orientation and training of nursing personnel. The position demands a positive attitude toward working with long-term care residents and the elderly, as well as the ability to relate effectively with residents, families, community members, and staff.
